Orthokeratology Lens

Orthokeratology (commonly known as OK mirror)

The problem of children’s myopia is getting worse day by day. Coupled with the popularization of electronic products, myopia is not easy to deepen due to the lack of proper viewing distance and eye habit. If not properly controlled, in addition to causing deep myopia, it also increases the risk of other eye diseases. Therefore, parents should pay attention to the problem of children’s myopia, seek appropriate prevention and improvement to make good care of their children’s eye health.


Orthokeratology (commonly known as OK mirror), is a specially designed high oxygen permeability rigid contact lenses. Myopia patients can wear customized orthopedic mirror, to gradually change the curvature of the cornea, so that the image can be re-focused on the retina, to temporarily correct myopia. Myopia patients only need to wear OK mirror when sleeping at night. The correction target would be achieved around two to three months. When the OK mirror is removed in the morning, no glasses are needed to clear the vision.

The wearer should have follow-up medical checking regularly

The wearer should follow the guidance of the ophthalmologists and regularly (often) follow-up and continue to wear orthopedic lenses to maintain good eyesight and control the growth of myopia, and to avoid complications.
